"Scientific Research on 5G, Small Cells and Health"
Cites paper co-authored by Theodore (Ted) S. Rappaport, professor of electrical and computer engineering and Founding Director of NYU Wireless at NYU Tandon.
… When we consider the health impacts of 5G and small cells we are looking at research on current technologies and frequencies in use in addition to research on sub-millimeter and millimeter waves. … This paper gives examples of today’s regulatory requirements, and provides an example for a 60 GHz transceiver. Also, the propagation characteristics of millimeter-waves in the presence of the human body are studied, and four models representing different body parts are considered to evaluate thermal effects of millimeter-wave radiation on the body.
