The Women @ Tandon committee at the School of Engineering consists of administrators and faculty members committed to the advancement of women in STEM.
The goal of Women @ Tandon is to: increase recruitment, retention, and success of women through a wide range of programs, services and activities geared towards building a supportive environment of and for women; and cultivate and showcase women to be leaders in the transformation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math locally and globally.

Alumnae Advisory Council
The mission of the Alumnae Advisory Council (AAC) is to support the advancement of women at Tandon.
The goal of the AAC is to increase the presence and positive outcomes of women through an array of services geared towards building a supportive environment of and for women.
Student Engagement Award
Through the established giving circles, the AAC will be able to support students who wish to participate in opportunities designed to enrich their undergraduate and graduate experience. Membership fees will go towards supporting women students’ participation in the following activities:
- Professional Conferences – Society for Women Engineers (SWE), National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE), Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) – registration fees, travel and lodging, and other expenses
- Internships – work-related expenses and stipends for unpaid opportunities
- Study Away at NYU Global Sites – related expenses including airline tickets, U.S. passports and immunization fees
- Research Opportunities – stipends, which allow our students to participate in research opportunities at Tandon and other institutions of their choosing
