Artificial Implosion

Associate Professor Julian Togelius addressed OpenAI’s recent-ousting of  CEO Sam Altman and criticisms that the  company is trying to push its development of AI tech too quickly: “Open AI is not structured as a regular for-profit company. … It started as a non-profit company that was supposed to create open AI. AI that's open sourced, made available to everyone in the world, and was to focus on and mitigate existential risk. … The way it played out is very different,” commented Togelius.
