Bridge students are able to defer their enrollment up to one year from their original offer of admission to the Bridge program. Enrolled students who defer will be removed from the course and lose access to the course site. Before the start of your new start term, you will receive a new admission letter.

Bridge students are able to withdraw their enrollment from the course. Enrolled students who withdraw will be removed from the course and lose access to the course site. If you wish to retake the Bridge program in a future semester, you are eligible to re-apply by submitting a new Bridge Application by the new application deadline.

Students enrolled in a Bridge course with both 17-week and 24-week options can swap from the 17-week to 24-week course (or vice-versa) for up to two weeks after the first exam. Your new course will take at least 24 hours to appear in NYU Classes. Swap requests made 5 days or less prior to the first exam cannot be accommodated and will be completed the day following your exam.

By accepting your offer of admission you agree to pay a charge of $1,850.00 USD in full by the given deadline/s specified. Once you accept your offer, and your enrollment has been processed, you will receive instructions on how to pay your bill in the amount of $1,850.00 USD. This charge is payable through NYU’s secure Student Information System, or through our International Student Payment system, and can only be made in the form of an electronic check and cannot be paid using a credit or debit card. 

Students who were admitted to a previous semester, and who deferred to a future semester, or withdrew and re-applied to a future semester, owe the cost of tuition being charged for the current semester, which may be higher than the cost that was being charged for the semester they deferred or withdrew from. No tuition from a previous semester will be credited to the current semester. Those who deferred prior to the Defer & Withdraw deadline for a previous semester, should have been refunded, and will need to submit the tuition in full for the current semester.

The Tandon Bridge program requires that payment is made in full by the published deadlines and does not offer options for a payment plan. 

In 2024, the NYU Tandon Bridge program is offering a limited number of scholarships to support qualified students with financial need. The scholarship will cover a maximum of 50% of the program fee and priority will be given to students who do not have a STEM background. The application for the Bridge Scholarship can be found within the Bridge application.

NYU Tandon Bridge does not facilitate GI Bill & Veteran funding, nor is it able to guarantee the NYU Tandon Bridge course qualifies for funding. Please see New York University’s Veteran Benefits website for additional information.

NYU Tandon Bridge does not facilitate tuition remission for NYU employees, nor does it guarantee the NYU Tandon Bridge course qualifies for tuition remission. It is recommended that NYU employees contact their HR Department, who will be able to guide them through the process to apply for tuition remission. Please see New York University’s Tuition Remission website for employees for additional information.

NYU Tandon Bridge does not facilitate employer funding, nor does it guarantee the NYU Tandon Bridge course qualifies for employer funding. Bridge students interested in obtaining funding through their employer, are responsible for coordinating their funding with their employer, following their employers guidelines. 

For reimbursement purposes managed by your company, the number of the Bridge course is CSBR-NY 1.

NYU Tandon Bridge does not facilitate third-party funding, nor does it guarantee the NYU Tandon Bridge course qualifies for third-party funding. 

There are no discounts offered, and students are liable for the full tuition being charged for the course they enroll in. 

Students who fail to submit any payment by the first day of the course will be removed from the course immediately. Students who are removed from the course due to non-payment cannot re-enroll in the same semester and must re-submit a new application to be considered for a future semester. If admitted to a future semester, students will not have the ability to start where they previously left off, and must begin their coursework as a new student. 

Any Bridge student who is removed due to non-payment is not guaranteed admission to any future semester, should they reapply. Any Bridge student removed due to non-payment for a total of two Bridge semesters, will not be readmitted to a future Bridge semester, should they reapply. 

It is your responsibility as the student to ensure you are submitting the correct payment amount specified in your offer of admission at the correct deadline. After the given deadline has passed, your remaining balance should be $0.00 USD. A Bridge student who has an outstanding balance over the amount of $0.00 USD after the given deadline, as a result of submitting their payment in the incorrect amount, or as a result of having a portion of their Bridge tuition applied toward a prior outstanding balance at the University, must submit any outstanding balance immediately to avoid late fees and third-party collections. 

NYU reserves the right to withhold certificates, grades, and GRE waivers for those who have a partial balance remaining after the payment deadline.

Cheating on homeworks, exams, or otherwise any graded assignments is not tolerated. If it is discovered that a student has cheated on a graded assignment, New York University reserves the right to conduct an internal investigation, and a grade of zero, or F, will be given, and will count toward the student’s final grade. New York University further reserves the right to withhold a final course grade. Students are not permitted to use any external resources to complete graded assignments, unless explicitly approved by the course instructor. Collaborating on a graded assignment is not allowed unless specifically permitted by the course instructor. A student found to have cheated must still abide by the payment, refund and defer withdrawal policies stated here.

Academic communities exist to facilitate the process of acquiring and exchanging knowledge and understanding, to enhance the personal and intellectual development of its members, and to advance the interests of society. In order to realize these goals, community members must not be subject to a disruption of the community’s educational mission and social activities. At the same time, members of the academic community have a responsibility to uphold the goals and good order of the academic community through personal integrity, honesty, and respect for others. This Code of Conduct is concerned, in particular, about the rights and responsibilities of the student in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

Certificates are issued to individuals who receive a standard letter grade of a C or higher. For those who receive a standard letter grade of a  B+ or higher, the Certificate will say "with Distinction." 

A Certificate can be used as part of your Graduate application as an additional credential, along with all other application materials, showing that you have a working knowledge of the topics covered in the Bridge course. A Certificate will be recognized by our select NYU Tandon Graduate programs and our Partner Institution programs  to show that you have gained the knowledge-prerequisites required by these programming-heavy Master's degrees, making you eligible to apply.

Currently-enrolled Bridge students and alumni should apply to a Master’s degree by submitting a formal Master’s Degree application before the relevant Master’s degree application deadline. Once submitted, Bridge students will have until the end of their Bridge course to complete their application, by submitting all required application materials, except for the GRE (optional), to ensure a Master’s application decision can be rendered prior to the start of the semester. Bridge students who wish to submit their GRE as part of their Master’s application must do so prior to the end of the Bridge course.

If you have attended NYU in the past, and a financial hold with the NYU Bursar Office, this hold will need to be resolved prior to enrolling in the Bridge course. 

Any student with a prior negative/outstanding balance at NYU must be zero out their account before submitting payment for the Bridge course. Those with a prior outstanding balance who submit a payment or the full tuition for the current Bridge semester, will not have their payment applied toward their Bridge payment balance. Instead, the payment submitted for the Bridge course will be automatically applied toward any prior outstanding balance. 

NYU reserves the right to uphold the “Non-Payment” Policy and remove students from the Bridge course who have not zeroed out their University account prior to submitting their tuition, and as a result, have an outstanding balance of $1,850.00 USD for the cost of the Bridge course at the payment deadline/s listed.

Those who have an NYU Tandon Graduate Academic Probation hold are not eligible to apply for graduate study at Tandon. Students on final probation must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the end of that semester, or the student will be disqualified from the school. Disqualified students will not be considered for readmission. If a student is disqualified, any grade of Incompletion, S, or U at the time of disqualification will remain as such on the student’s transcript.
