Professor Wollstein is part of the Advanced Ophthalmic Imaging Laboratory (AOIL), which consists of a team of ophthalmologists, engineers, software specialists, statisticians, and trainees. In collaboration with his colleagues, Profs. Schuman, and Ishikawa, he focuses on the study of glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness in the world. This group of renowned researchers is developing advanced imaging tools to detect this debilitating disease, monitor its progression, and gain a better understanding of its pathogenesis.
