Mohammad directs the Advanced Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab) at NYU Abu Dhabi, and his current research interests include developing microfluidic and MEMS devices for biomedical applications and point of care diagnostics. During his PhD work, he received several prestigious fellowships and awards including the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship (CGSD3), and the FQRNT Students-Researchers Stars Award. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications, Lab on a Chip, and Biomedical Microdevices.

Mohammad Qasaimeh joined NYUAD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Prior to that, he served as a Research Assistant at McGill University and as a Research Fellow at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School.
