Brooklyn 6G: Sustainability is the goal
On April 27, NYU brought its wireless symposium back to life, now called Brooklyn 6G. In his talk, “Power Consumption and Efficiency in mmWave and sub-THz Wireless Systems and Networks,” Theodore (Ted) Rappaport, founding director of NYU WIRELESS, defined a new parameter called Power Efficiency Factor (H). It’s based on noise factor, a calculation that engineers have used for many years, to calculate a system’s overall noise.
