Even when students are scattered, the Student Activities team brings them together

Each year, on the Monday of the last week of classes, NYU Tandon holds Student Appreciation Day, providing lunch, camaraderie, and a little relaxation when it’s sorely needed.

Although that couldn’t happen this year, the Office of Student Activities and Resource Center (OSARC) still wanted to honor the tradition, while keeping in mind that everyone is now contending with challenging time zone and scheduling issues. The solution: a virtual program of restorative activities like yoga and meditation, fun games sessions involving Animal Crossing and UNO, and a Netflix watch party. And let’s not forget a chance to pit coloring skills against those of the faculty and staff (the picture provided: the Brooklyn Bridge, naturally).

Also on tap: curated compilations of everything from the Internet’s best photography tips to the most inspirational TED Talks, and the Tandon Teaches series, where faculty members discuss their sometimes surprising areas of expertise. (Up for learning about genealogy or the power of sleep — they’ve got you covered.)

Wherever you are, Tandon Student Appreciation Day is every day, and OSARC is there for you during finals week, and every week.
