No guns, no dragons: her video games capture private moments


Nina Freeman, who received her Master’s in Integrated Design and Media at NYU Tandon in 2014, is a part of a group of designers who are using the video game format to focus on moments that were once more likely to be explored in memoirs, fiction, poetry or indie-film dramas. “You get to step in another person’s shoes and perform as a character. I can put the player on a stage and give them a script, the script being the game,” said Freeman.
