Spectrum guru Ted Rappaport dishes on mmWave, FWA and 6G
The Brooklyn 6G Summit took place in virtual form on Wednesday, April 27th. True to tradition, Theodore (Ted) S. Rappaport, the David Lee/Ernst Weber Professor of Electrical Engineering and founding director of NYU WIRELESS, was master of ceremonies for the annual event, co-presented and sponsored by Nokia. In this wide-ranging interview, he discusses a key theme of the summit: the need for sustainable wireless. “It’s very clear that our industry is going to be a major part of the carbon footprint of the world so we really have to be sensitive and start paying attention to every watt of power consumed," said Rappaport.
