Swallowing this pill-shaped sensor could help you avoid invasive procedures
Assistant Professor of Bioengineering Khalil Ramadi and a research team from MIT and CalTech are developing a pill-shaped ingestible module that uses electromagnetic fields to reveal disorders in the gastrointestinal tract. The new device may allow people to avoid trips to doctors’ offices and the invasive medical procedures that are typically used to diagnose GI conditions.
