Global Challenge: Data Science/AI/Robotics and Sustainability
My dream is to allow consumers more efficiently and effectively track their consumption habits and purchases through a digital closet that doesn’t require manual input of clothing information and time-consuming self-taken photos; this digital closet would be more than a simple app that acts as an inventory, it will also be a combination of second-hand clothes exchanging platform with 3D game-like user-interface to create a brand new experience for customers.
Bio:
I’m a rising sophomore at NYU Tandon School of Engineering majoring in Business and Technology Management with a minor in Computer Science. I’m Indonesian, but I grew up in Shanghai my whole life so I love big metropolitan cities like New York because of the food, city lights, and busy life. And no, I don’t have an accent.
At Tandon, I joined Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Women in Business and Entrepreneurship (WIBE). Theta Tau has provided me with significant professional mentorship, a tight-knit community, and many chances to exercise my collaboration and leadership skills. SWE inspired me to empower women and attend conferences where I could network and learn from many similarly ambitious peers. Coming from an entrepreneurial family background, my dream is to create a digital platform that will merge fashion and technology to enhance sustainable consumerism.
Some of my hobbies include going to the gym, reading, watching movies, dancing, playing guitar, and singing. A fun-fact about me is I’ve dyed my hair 7 times, I don’t know how many times it’ll be by the time you’re reading this.
