Research milestones in wearable health tech

Associate Professors Rose Faghih and John-Ross Rizzo were featured in a Next Avenue article celebrating significant research milestones in wearable health technology. A chip developed by Faghih can monitor electrodermal activity, and was highlighted for its ability to detect internal stresses related to pain, exhaustion, and busy schedules, providing timely notifications to individuals. Rizzo's work in biomechanics and assistive technology was referenced for its focus on developing navigation and obstacle avoidance technologies to address mobility challenges experienced by the visually impaired.
